Amen
Sundown is here. Can I get an amen? Sabbath is dawning. Relief is here. Many “things” are blessed, me, my family, you, your house, your actions, but only one period of time is holy/blessed and that is The Sabbath. What a thought, that you are entering a holy time. There is no way to make it unholy. Desecrate it yes, but make it unholy, NEVER. How beautiful it is when we understand it to be as eternal as God. Absolutely mind boggling. So don’t stop there, let your mind be boggled by an infinite love that He has for you.
Winding Down
Every Friday winds down differently but they all point to one amazing day, Sabbath. And here we are again standing on the edge of another great day. Looking at the next 24 there is no reason to be anxious or concerned because this day holds blessings that were planned for you and me at creation. Oh what joy is just ahead. Sabbath is the best when spent with friends and family. You must know that you have both when you go and worship tomorrow morning. And when you do go you can expect that he will continue His work in you because you like me are still a little rough around the edges, but don’t worry, He will treat you gentle as He continues His molding. Bon Sabbat and I love you all, alan
Enjoy Your Day
Your favorite day is here, the other six have come and gone but the one you have looked forward to is dawning. This is yours to use and to spend with your Father as you choose. Wow, what an opportunity ! It is interesting that there are so many people everywhere that are trying to find, buy, or create the relief that the Sabbath brings. How sad that what is so freely given is so missed by so many. At least we will enjoy it
Bon Sabbat as you “get away” today.
The First Sabbath of the New Year
Bon Sabbat!!! It doesn’t get any better than this. The first six days of the new year are behind us, the seventh day of the new year is dawning on us, how appropriate that it is The Sabbath. The chance to start new, start fresh, how wonderful. Start this Sabbath with the freshness of the Spirit and the One who sent Him. The new year provides new opportunities on many different levels and in may different areas, lets not forget the most important one.
Glory to God in the Highest.
Silent night Holy night, It was and is. The One who so long ago was rejected (even on the night He was born no one had room for Him) is even now looking for a place to dwell. He is looking for a place to be Reborn. His search continues on this holy night. Will there be room for Him in your inn tonight? Tomorrow? Forever? He wants to call your heart his dwelling place. Enough for now Someone is knocking and I (we) must decide to answer the door lest the Baby move on to where he is welcome. Glory to GOD in the highest.
Sabbath is Here
Imagine being with child (I’m doing my best) for eight and a half months, it’s been a busy day and you have had to be on your feet all day, you are totally exhausted. Evening comes and your husband says “sit down and put your feet up I want to give you a 1 hour foot rub.” How many of you women would turn down an offer like that? Or how many of you men after a long and hard physical work day would turn down a 1 hour back rub? So far I haven’t seen anyone raise their hand to reject either one.
Imagine carrying baggage heavier than a pregnancy for longer than nine months, maybe a lifetime, and every week (maybe more often than that) you get an offer to “relax and give Me the load” what person in their right mind would turn that down?
The Sabbath is here. It is another chance to come away and leave all that entombs us with the One who promises to bury it in a place where no man has been, in the depths of the sea. Oh man, how good would that feel ? I’ll tell you, better than any foot rub ever felt.
So now enjoy the sweet relaxing relief that the Sabbath brings
It’s Here
Wow it’s here!! The best day of the week. No not Saturday, the Sabbath!!!! You’ve done all you can to be ready for this Day and now He asks you to step away from the things that may have separated you from Him this past week. Did you ever think of Him as your heavenly trash man. Perhaps you should in that He wants you to bring all your garbage to him and dump it off. He has a place for it that no one can ever get to it. Imagine that, all your personal trash put so far away that no one can even smell it. Wow that’s the only dump I’ve ever heard of that no one could smell. How awesome to know someone that wants your junk handed to Him. So take out your trash RIGHT NOW and immediately the stench of life go away and let the sweet sweeeeet smell of heaven permeate your life.
Sabbath is a Happy Day
Sabbath is a happy day, I love every Sabbath. Here it is, the most cherished day, the most loved day and best of all, the only blessed day. How nice to have this day that is blessed by God himself. Man did not get together and vote a blessing for this day. He did not wish for this day. He did not work real hard so there would be a blessing in this day. He did NOTHING. God in His amazing love hallowed (set apart for holy use) this day. So enjoy and use it for it’s intended purpose.
Healing
The ups and downs of another work week are behind us now and all that remains is one more day and it is an up day. The week has had disappointing news, good news, great news. Some may say well mine has been mostly disappointing. Now has it really? Or maybe I should ask, when we are truly letting the Lord lead in our lives is there any such thing as disappointing news? Just something to think about. When the outcome is not what we wanted do we still praise Him? Today, on His day , I want to praise Him for His wonderful mercies and and His promise to be there for us regardless of how our week may have gone. I am thankful that not only does He bring physical healing to us but more importantly spiritual healing as well. This is the day to come and visit the great Physician, to tell Him what hurts and to let Him heal all of you.
The Journey Continues
Life is a journey. On this journey there are mountains and valleys, highs and lows, tunnels and views of grandeur. The journey continues until we breathe no more or the Lord comes back. The best thing about the journey is the weekly rest stop where we get to stretch and relax. The pace slows and we refresh ourselves with the Water and the Nourishment. As your rest stop begins don’t try and figure out the map for next week but spend time with the Driver asking his advice and the direction he wants to take you. He hasn’t failed you yet.
